Each semester the students in the courses work on making comics! We collect the completed work into the Syn-Thology comics! They are published here, and Issue to make sharing easy!

This time it’s a slightly shorter collection but those that completed a story are quite excellent! Some great stuff was in the works that fell just short of the deadline, I’d like to think all my students will go on to greatness, but even without my help, a few of these are destined for things! The file is a 13.5 MB PDF. The second collection of work from Making Comics at Syn Studio in downtown Montreal! Early in the course we had students start doing short haiku comics daily for a week, some of the best volunteered for publishing by students are gems to be found in here. There’s some really strong work in this collection again, and student evaluations tell me people were pretty charged up by the course! Cool to hear. I really enjoyed teaching them and expect to see more good things from this gang! The file is a 23.7 MB PDF. 33 pages of comics from mostly first time students.

Here’s the first official Syn-Thology, Vol.1! I’ve set it up on Issue for ease of reading and sharing online, and you can also download a PDF copy for free via this link, just right-click and save it! It’s 55 MB and 74 pages of student comics! Enjoy the short stories here, the students turned in some pretty accomplished stuff. The cover art is something I did for the SALON BD MTL, held for the first time during the semester. It was colored with assistance from John Gosselin. Special mention as well to the Copic wielding D-Erika Philippe, who contributed 5 colorful done in one stores that provided perfect pace breakers between longer stories here. The issue features…
